ABOUT

Noticing the lack of fashion in contemporary swimwear, Robin Piccone launched her signature label in 1992. Characterized by modern styling and innovative details for a wearable and flattering cut, ROBIN PICCONE accentuates a body’s unique lines and curves without relying entirely on briefness to create a cutting edge look.

Robin Piccone is a CFDA member and the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the City of Hope Spirit of Life Award for her efforts related to fundraising for early research in pediatric AIDS. She is also a mentor to students at Otis College of Art and Design.

Robin Piccone revolutionized the swimwear industry with her innovative use of neoprene for BODY GLOVE swimwear in 1986. Inspired by the wetsuits worn by surfers, her sleek body-conscious suits marked a turning point in swimwear design. The Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's permanent collection includes two of her neoprene swimsuits. For her achievements in changing the swimwear landscape, Piccone was honored with the California Designer of the Year award.

Every ROBIN PICCONE design begins at the Los Angeles design studio. Starting with a sketch; fabrics, trims and colors are then developed for each season. Our design team works closely with mills in North America to develop nearly all of our exclusive fabrics. The designs come to life with a team of in house seamstresses who create each sample, some of whom have been with the company for over 15 years. The samples are then meticulously reviewed and tested on a variety of body types to ensure the signature ROBIN PICCONE fit.
